Regression next season

I don't have faith that they can win eight games next season. I see a six win season tops. Bryce will be back and doing Bryce things again and unless they get a competent OC to call the plays, the same with Canales.

All these "comeback wins" could have easily gone the other way. They had very few convincing wins to hang on their belts. They can't win the big games when needed and haven't been able to do so for years. More or less pulling wins out their asses.

I see a six win season at best.

2026 is actually when they've been planning to really compete.  That has been the plan for a few years now.   Them being so close to winning the division this year raised expectations a lot, but 2026 has always been the plan.

Every season is different, but, if they make the playoffs as the division winner, we will have a 1st place schedule next season as well.

100% expect 5 or less wins if bryce remains the QB. Falcons and Saints both look like they will be the best two teams in division next year

Yeah, the division should be tougher next year if Shough continues progressing, Mayfield gets healthy, and the Falcons play Cousins.

The Falcons qb situation is pretty treacherous. I don't know that Penix is IT, even before his latest knee injury, and Cousins will turn 38 just before the season starts.

Yeah, it's not enviable. Cousins still looks like a decent stop gap. Penix showed promise as a rookie but regressed pretty hard in his second season then of course suffered his third ACL tear. I don't think they can plan on him being their future.

    • You're dreaming if you think that's all it would cost to move up from the 51st pick to the 1st round. It would take at least a first next year
