I would have been in favor of that. Ewers showed he can clearly execute a structured offense, and he has a good arm. His problem has mostly been he’s made of glass so that is a great trait for a backup haha

Yeah, in addition to being ass on the field he came across as just an ass in general this year. Hard pass.

If we go with another aging vet option, I guess Mariota would be my choice.

I could see him coming in to the the back-up but with how QB needy so many teams are this year, he will probably get a job elsewhere for the #1 spot. 
 

Dan also gave the impression during his press conference that he’s going to be looking for a younger QB

I don't see how. He's definitely on the decline and looked like complete ass this year playing for a coach and in a system he knew well. I'd rather take a chance kn a younger guy or a rookie in the draft than washed ass Geno.
