you can argue we should have used timeouts, but a lot of that is based on where they are on the field. They scored from just outside the 20. Panthers call a timeout then the rams get to change their personnel. Panthers have the personnel advantage (in theory) in that situation, and you can make the argument you don’t want to give them a chance to change. the rams just made an insane play.

regardless, if you want more timeouts called, that’s on Canales, not evero. 

I'm not talking about solely blitzing, play man and if they beat you deep so be it. Make Stafford make tough throws with his hurt hand instead of the most easiest 10 yard completions sitting in soft zone. How the fug are you gonna make it hard on a QB when his WRs were literally WIDE OPEN across the middle. It doesn't matter if he blitzed when you are giving 10 yard cushions and he can just get rid of it in 1 second for an automatic 1st down. I don't give a fug what nobody say, that was the worst possible outcome in that scenario. You man tf up and either double Puka or send the blitz, and if you get beat deep then we get the ball back with ample time instead of 38 seconds.

the panthers do not have the personnel to play man across the board against the rams. very few teams in the league do. Instead of having a WR settling into a zone in the middle of the field you'll have one running full speed wide open when they catch. Panthers are trading yards for time hoping they can tighten up in the red zone because they're protecting a 4 point lead. this is basic stuff. 

there's a reason harukia nakamura doesn't have a statue outside the stadium.

The best thing Horn does is jump and make highlight reel INTs and have a reputation of being a good corner but now that people are starting to respect Mike Jack, Horn is getting exposed

You don't have to explain football to me. I've played and watched football my whole life. YOU DO NOT PLAY SOFT ZONE WHEN THEY HAVE 2:30 WITH 3 TIMEOUTS. I can't believe I even have to explain this to somebody. Playing soft prevent zone would be fine if they had like 40 seconds left, but not with ALL their timeouts and 2 minutes left. 

It's not even about personnel, it's the SITUATION. YOU DON'T CARE IF THEY SCORE FAST! Man up and play aggressive and either hope for a turnover/sack, or they score fast which is what you want.

That is how I see it.  I would not moving him while he has some value.  I think we could use the $$ to sign an edge.  Now that we might have to draft a T early...
