Evero Extended Through 2026

I'm confused. Did we extend them earlier in the year? Or did we just extend him now.

I honestly would like to see how his D does with some semblance of a pass rush or LBs that can cover a grandma. I hated his play calling on the last drive as much as everybody else, but I think he did a good job overall this year

My bad again I was sure he was fired as well for that horrible down the stretch record. Him and Arron glenn for sure should have been fired. More so than raheem morris.

Lol. You think a guy that has won four NFC South titles is more deserving of being fired than Raheem Morris??

I think a guy who went what 2-7, 2-8 down the stretch has shown more stagnation and less upside than a guy who Atlanta down the stretch showed promise and upside.

You are aware of what Raheem's career coaching record is, correct?

Also, you are aware that he has been a head coach before, correct?

"Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero‘s contract was due to expire at the end of the 2025 season. Although it was not revealed until Sunday, during head coach Dave Canales‘ end-of-season presser, Carolina extended Evero before the start of the ’25 campaign (via Joe Person of The Athletic). Person adds that the contract runs through 2027."

Seems like since Raheem was a defensive guy and the Atlanta defense obviously improved that the team was an offensive coordinator away from being far more competitive. Falcons gonna Falcon.

No doubt, I think Ever is a leader of men.  I think he’s a super smart guy and very likeable and relateable.  All those qualities translate to being a fantastic HC.  I have a feeling he will be a much better HC than DC.

Agreed. I think being HC is more about being leader than being a top quality DC or OC. Very few HCs can  perform the HC and coordinator duties. His job would be to manage the guys under him, not design a defense week in and week out.

    • When you look closely at the play it was careless from Melo but bang bang full speed I don’t think it was intentional or dirty or deserving of a foul. Bam’s off balance momentum was already carrying him towards a fall and even if Melo didn’t touch him it may have had the exact same outcome. And honestly I think he did try to sell it more when he felt LaMelo’s hand. Dudes arms flopped back instead of bracing for the fall. Sucks he got hurt but a suspension would be ridiculous and an awful look for the league. Fine and move on
    • Sure but it literally would be benching him lol, and it would kill his confidence. He’ll get back in a rhythm, kid just had an all time great rookie season and led the league in 3s, you gotta stick with him as starter. But yeah I’m all for getting some more lineups throughout the game with Coby and Melo   and yeah Miles’ block and Coby and others jumping him in celebration was fuging epic
    • I would’ve used the timeout on that inbounds before the turnover and Melo’s late foul but yeah otherwise I can’t blame Lee, the players just didn’t execute as well as they should have, but obviously did enough to get it done
