I don't think Frank put together the all star staff.  I think that was a Tepper thought process.  I also think Canales only has offensive input.   I think Evero and that side of the ball was forced upon him.

lastly, I think the sooner we get rid of Jim Caldwell and Capers the better.

I don’t mind Dom as much, don’t see what he could be hurting.

And on the flip side I don’t know what Caldwell could be helping. I  always associated him with the pro Bryce cabal though, rightly or wrongly.

Long as they aren’t hurting things I guess it doesn’t matter.

the Capers way is basically the primary flaw of the Evero D.  Prevent the big play.  Let offenses nickel and dime you.

That's not the defensive mindset of my preferred defensive folks.

You think that changes if the only difference is he leaves?
I think the die is cast already.

Some of what Morgan has said leads me to think that Morgan is not 100% down with the constant prevent and wants more pressure.

atlanta actually finished strong--it is a good job for a new coach--but Penix is not attracting anyone--interesting.  I expect them to hire Jon Gruden.

Jon Gruden: I pull for Raheem Morris every week, except this week

Heard it here first, I thunk.

No 1st round pick and no QB.  Not ideal.

Rooney rule most likely

evero statistically improved but still poor on 3rd and 4th down

like to see stats on redzone too

It may help satisfy the rule, but I don't think the franchise that pushed for the rule is interviewing anyone they wouldn't seriously consider for the job just to satisfy the rule.

If the Steelers interview you, they have legitimate interest in hiring you

In before "watch him take the Steelers to the Super Bowl"

The last two starting quarterbacks (granted, one of them just lost the division to us).

So, basically your entire argument is Sam Darnold???

So one data point is now a "storied history?" Speaking of hyperbole....

95+% of these "oh you'll see when he leaves he's gonna be eliteimtellingyouhewillbetheguy" episodes end up with crickets shortly thereafter because those players rarely excel elsewhere for players that the majority of the fanbase wanted gone. That is very rare.

    • With Schoen and Dan Morgan being tight I’d figure we knew this was coming and since he is released, Dan didn’t bite.    But, a quick search says this is at least 80% cap related. They have No cap space and save 8 or 9 million with releasing him.  He has been a captain his entire time there. 145 tackles this year.  They are picking 5th with a new staff and looking at Styles. Hitting that age 30 season and had a disc issue last year that did not require surgery.  I haven’t really watched him play but he activated the antennae.
    • OK, we are letting our top RB go.  We have Chuba, Etienne, and Brooks.  Imagine a player who could LEGITIMATELY play the slot and back up at RB?  I am sure he'd be a special team player as well.  I noticed him at the combine, and thought, "Here is a late rounder who could stand out as a slot and provide depth at RB. Without further ado....(I know one Huddler who might be able to tell us more about this guy): Navy running back/wide receiver Eli Heidenreich headlined the 2026 NFL Combine for the Midshipmen, running an official 4.44-second 40-yard dash and recording 16 reps on the bench press. Recognized as a versatile, "Swiss army knife" offensive weapon, Heidenreich solidified his draft stock as a potential day three target.    Eli Heidenreich (RB/WR - Navy) 2026 Combine Performance: 6'0" 200 lbs.   40-Yard Dash: 4.44 seconds. 10-Yard Split: 1.55 seconds. Vertical Jump: 35.5 inches. Broad Jump: 10' 0". Bench Press: 16 Reps. Highlights: Showcased as a premier receiving threat from the backfield, having left Navy as the program's all-time leader in receiving yards (1,994). High character.  Smart.  Maybe, just maybe....
    • These refs are horrible.  They definitely got money on this game lol.
