My post history says different, but you're too blinded to see his improvement.

I have no issue saying he's improved. The issue is that he's improved from not looking NFL to looking like a guy who might he able to carve out a career as a backup. Improved Bryce is still one of the worst starters kn the league.

Disingenuous.

Brazzell is the Z WR we needed.

While his 6'4" or 6'5" frame and deep-threat capability are traits often seen in "X" (split end) receivers, scouts and draft analysts specifically project him as a long-limbed "Z" receiver at the NFL level. This role allows him to utilize his speed and long strides to create explosive plays downfield while typically lining up slightly off the line of scrimmage.

Hell, his route tree is extremely limited. That's likely all he can do.

For all that talk about this being a weak TE draft there sure has been a bunch taken in the first three rounds.

Weak as in Day 1 starter talent, absolutely.  It's a depth draft for the group.

Thats indictivite of anybody that plays in those go go offenses. Curl, slant, Go. Thats about it.

Yeah, and that's why some FOs don't even consider Tennessee receivers. But, I'll give the kid a chance. Not excited by the pick right now though.

Any QBs worth a look tomorrow in the 4th?

Didn't pay too much attention to the bottom of the barrel this year but Drew Allar to Pittsburgh was probably the last worth taking a shot at. I doubt anyone else listed could beat out Pickett lol.

Look at his Tulane tape and what he did this year. He can run the full route tree, coaching staff said as much that he could

    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
    • I mean, our TE room does suck but we had other pressing needs and no surefire upgrades in the draft. I was surprised at how many TEs went in the first three rounds. I think most everyone was. You want a guy who projects at least as a guy who has the potential ceiling to be a starter in those rounds and I didn't see 11 of those in this draft. Off the top of my head, I think that's how many TEs went in the first three rounds. It was in that range. That's roughly 10% of the overall picks. Definitely did NOT see that coming with this TE class.
