And that, among other things, might be what gets his ass fired one day. Don't get me wrong, there's no way Sadiq was worth a first, but some TE is worth it (or a second or a third). 

It may just be a consequence of growing up on the Pete Carroll tree.

Other things - I agree could get him fired one day. However, not drafting a tight end this year is not going to be any reason. DC couldn't really do much with how many of the tight ends most of us figured would be around day 3 went day 2. Tight ends I would have liked for us to get day three like Delp, Roush, and Raridon went in the 3rd.

I think we were smart not joining that tight end Rush and instead focused on a receiver that was great value where we got him in the 3rd round.

The TE and Edge projections were just lazy and ignored the dire situation on the oline.

You cant take any of this stuff seriously.   Nothing true ever really comes out.  We always get the #1 guy we wanted is all youre ever going to hear after the draft.

They’ve stuck to positional value early, this isn’t surprising. It doesn’t really tell us much about how they value Tight Ends or which profile they like. Jatavaion Sanders doesn’t play in line and they clearly have high hopes there.

 

the real interesting, telling question would’ve been Sadiq versus Thieneman.

Damn, that's a helluva reference. First car I remember as a kid that my parents drove....barely recall it, but I think it was green. In fact, I think it was a pretty putrid green at that.
