Some good information but,  the commentators are very dry.

Also fall into the trap of just wanting to surround Young with all the talent in the world.

Disappointed we took Lee Hunter instead of ANOTHER skill guy. Y'know, on our DLine that was crying out for an injection of talent.

If they are part of the 1st round TE/WR lobby, glad I didn’t watch it.  I just get irritated with it.

Since we drafted Bryce we have...

Drafted two 1st round WRs including a top 10 pick. Drafted two 1st round OTs including a top 10 pick. Signed two huge money OGs. Drafted another 3rd round WR. Signed a RB to a top 10 RB contract at the time.

And people really want to talked about how we haven't done enough to surround this guy with talent? GTFOH...

We need to draft a 1st round QB and see how Bryce reacts.  No more coddling, give him some competition.

Sink or swim.

Chuba too right?

But somehow the general point that he has been an asset pit

Most bitched for years the team didnt give Newton enough assets. Giving a young qb assets is not the problem. Its that hes not that good.

Sink or swim.

If we use a premium resource like a 1st on a QB it wont be to see how Bryce reacts.  It will be to replace him.

Highest amount of OL salary cap in the league too.

The Chiefs are behind us at 2 but we are ahead of them by a cool $23 million.

Will it make him grow a few inches and get a NFL level arm?

Oh you say it won't? Yea he is cooked we have to replace him.

That’s the point.  But he’ll still be under contract that year, so the rookie isn’t forced to start immediately.

When the boos come and the “Bench Bryce” chatter starts, it becomes obvious there is no new contract.

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
