Has JR Alienated the Panther Fanbase?

Seriously, enough with the "I hate JR! He ruined the Panthers!". I would rather blow it up and go 2-14 and build for the future than go 7-9 again, get a mediocre draft pick, be at the salary cap, and still have a mediocre coach.

Its not like we are the Bills or Browns. We made the playoffs 3 times this past decade, which is shockingly average.

Jr was right when he said that if they start winning fans will come back. If we go 2-14 again, the fans will leave in droves and the stadium will be empty (yeah PSL owners will be still be footing the bill, they just won't be attending games).

Winning cures all.

the milquetoast half of the fanbase who emphatically defend the owners in the cba deal and want to trade down in the draft will never be alienated from JR. i bet they have cuckold fantasies, too. it's like the Panthers fanbase is genetically bred to be betas and followers.

I've been here since 2005 and this is the most awesome, accurate post I've ever come across to describe....."those" set of posters that we all know of. Made me laugh hard, made me cheer, this is an Oscar-winning post.

I swear it's like short term sacrifice for long term gain is a totally foreign concept around here.

He gambled to some extent and lost, as a result we're still much better off as a result. We'll have plenty of money when the CBA is reached and we now have a young core with actual game time experience.

Did I like going 2-14 and being damn near unwatchable at times? No, but the future is bright friends and if you want to blame JR for that, then you have my blessing.

Personally I'm thankful to have one of the most influential and revered owners in the league and to a larger extent in professional sports.

True he saved money but that doesnt mean he's going to really use it.

He gambled with house money namely the PSl owners.

As for are we better off than we would have been if he didn't cut all those veterans? Only in the sense that we got the number 1 pick by being so horrible. But most all those veterans who were cut would not have been on the roster this year anyway. So he lined his pockets and did little to nothing to put a decent product on the field. But even that was his biggest problem. That was keeping Fox as a lame duck coach. He could have cut fox and his staff, brought in Rivera and his staff last year and we would light years ahead of where we are right now.

He did us few favors at all last year. I am glad you enjoyed being bent over last year. I didn't.
