We keep hearing about this fight in the context of future generations of players. Of fighting for rights.

Let’s just call it what it is: Both sides are trying to equitably distribute a lot of money. More money than previous generations of players could imagine.

That’s worth fighting over, but let’s stop trying to make it sound heroic.

Could not agree with this statement more.

Another dumbass comment made by a spoiled little bitch of a player.....my backing fo the owners just keeps getting stronger and stronger.

Just because an owner of a business makes more money does not mean that an employees worth and salary should go up.

Again, his comment is a prime example of what I have been saying......the players want the financial reward of ownership when they have the investment of employees.

fug all of them.

Damn, quite some animosity you have towards the players. Maybe you should just quit watching the NFL or pro sports in general. These athletes bring some emotion out of you. Calling AP, and the players b*tches....

As far as AP's comment...it was a stupid thing to say, and he shouldnt have said it. I agree with Panthro, in that this comparison was a pretty big stretch. Although, there have been multiple athletes who've said this and the combine are modern day slavery.

I'd have been more on board if you said that today's Hispanic populace is akin to modern day slavery. This? Really? Are these guys really that far removed from reality?

That's okay, in one of his post-mediation session press conferences DeMaurice Smith invoked the image of the March on Washington during the civil rights movement...

There's nothing quite as absurd as a rich lawyer who just gone done arguing all day about how to split up 9 billion dollars drawing a comparison to the civil rights movement.

These "pro athletes as slaves" comments from people like Jesse Jackson in reference to LeBron James and now Adrian Peterson is bottom-feeding stuff. There are tens of thousands of people dead or dying in Japan. Civil war has broken out across Africa. Kids are starving to death in Haiti. There are legitimate slaves being trafficked all around the world including in the USA, mostly children. And let's not even forget how badly off the US economy continues to be with millions of people forced to live off the government because they can't find a job. And these entitled, pathetic, real life trolls that were lucky enough to have enough talent handed to them in their DNA to go make tens of millions of dollars to go play games like basketball and football immediately play the "slave" card the second there is the slightest obstacle in their lives. This stuff makes me sick. I would NEVER buy a jersey of some sickeningly entitled little brat of a troll to give them one single dollar. I hope there's no Panther that feels the same way.

Thinking this was Spike Lee, not Jesse
