I have been told that Carolina intends to make it difficult for another team to steal DeAngelo Williams. That means a bidding war.

So, it sounded pretty promising until his last tweet to me, lol. But even with that, from what he originally tweeted, it sounds like we'll go to great lengths to keep him.:D

I'm not sure they'll have to outbid as much as folks think though. Williams has given every indication he wants to stay.

Also doesn't Miami have quarterback and coaching issues anyway? It's not like the Dolphins are a slam dunk destination for someone who wants a ring.

If the judge puts back the 2010 CBA rules including the restricted free agent tenders given out in Feb., don't be surprised if the Panthers do not offer D-Will an extension knowing they can keep him one more year during his prime without having the contract burden of 4-5 more years after that for a player in his 30s.

Yeah, I think once I heard Rivera talk about what pieces we already had when he was hired that he was told we had every intention of keeping the RB corps intact.

Could be a possibility, but then again, it seems like he and the FO have a good relationship and he seems like a guy they want to keep around because he's not only awesome on the field, but off of it as well.

if Williams didn't stay in Carolina I highly doubt he'd go to Miami. that fan was like "why would he stay in Carolina?" it isn't like their situation is miles ahead of the Panthers. still a shaky at best QB situation, and an owner that publicly pursued another head coach while their current coach was still on staff(and then pulled their offer and kept Sparano lolz, classy!)
