R J Stanford in Esquire

Mr. Scot

Overall, his part of the article was pretty good. He seems like he's a genuinely good guy with a pretty good head on his shoulders.

However, I couldn't get past him talking about living on Ramen and PB&J but still taking a trip to Las Vegas for Valentines Day. It's great that he wanted to do something special for his GF. But, I would imagine, that she would rather real food to eat, than a weekend in Vegas.

Yea, he seemed like he had a lot of trouble saving money during the season. I'm sure someone told him about the possibility of the lockout, but he still went splurging on his friends. Hopefully this is a good life lesson for him, at least.

He did seem like he had a plan in place, but he did a really bad job planning for the worst.

I read the article at catscratchreader and the author there made a good point that Stanford is probably exaggerating a little with the ramen noodles and pb&j....I doubt he intended to imply that he's having trouble putting food on his plate. With that said, he definitely can't complain if he's still taking trips to Vegas for a birthday. He did say he cut out vacations and put off buying a house, though.

I saw that and thought the same thing but you can get a decent weekend package for not to bad if he didn't go ape spending when he got there.

But being unemployed since September, I feel his pain :(
