so is hurny giving up an armanti b/c isn't he supposed to be our slot WR

Preparing for Smitty to leave

5'9", 199 lbs, benched 225 19 times... Steve Smith type maybe?

looks fast as poo!

On ESPN they were just asking "What is Carolina doing?"

I guess they really don't pay any attention to us. Smitty wants out, so we are covering our asses, since the NFL can't get thier poo together and get FA started.

i understand he wasn't a QB like armanti but they are both slot WR's

Just look at what Newton did with Adams and the other WRs at Auburn. If Smitty does go(i hope not) then he'll be good with Gettis, Lafell, Shockey, Edwards, and Pilares. Lets not forget FA hasnt started and we will bring in someone at positions of need

    • Ehhh. He's a kid. Doubt that they hold it against him THAT hard unless he really can be big trade bait. I think the plan was to run him in the ahl next year and call him up if somebody goes down and get him ready to come up permanently once Orlov's contract comes up. Kinda hard to play at ECF level at 22 when you haven't been up much  Burns is likely getting traded in the off season for something to fix the second line and to make more room for Nikishin to slot in. No way we hold him at his pay for his production, not with Slavin getting paid eventually.   I miss Fast 😞
    • Ghost definitely made the most of a bad situation. He can't be everywhere at once
    • I will know how I feel for sure after this next upcoming season. If Bryce plays like he did those last 8 games, especially the last 4, and continue to get even better than I say the Panthers won the trade.   Overall, despite how it all plays out, I think the trade was a good decision because it was a good shot at drafting a franchise QB and overall, even at the time, I really didn't think the Panthers gave up that much relatively speaking and compared to other trades made in the past to move up, etc.
