I remember the original statement made about the location and name of the Panthers being ...If you combine the two states and erased the border line then Charlotte would fall close to center of both states and also being a metropolis area. They did not want the Panthers to be named "Charlotte Panthers" because they represent "both" Carolina states.

I went to school with a girl name Carolina...she was black...Panthers are black. Jerry Richardson named his team the Carolina (black) Panthers(black). Two black cancel each other out and make a white. There fore Jerry Richardson is racist.
