Positives from the game

I know a lot of people are just pointing out the obvious negatives of the game but I would like to shift to focus on the positives of the game. I know people are upset about this game but keep in mind that it is preseason. If you make mistakes, the time is now. This period is used for coaches to look at their players. Let's face it, some of the players out of the field last night won't be there next week. With that being said, I would have to say that my big positive was seeing T. Davis out there. He made a few key stops on that goal line stance. Sadly, they ended up scoring but it is good to see him being active.

TE- I am loving the fact that our QB's are using our TEs as a safety net. Having both Shockey and Oslen out there will definitely free up the focus on Smitty once he returns.

I could name a few others but anyone else seen anything they liked out of a particular player or situation?

another sutton fan here. the dude is just tough. very well could be starting on a lot of teams or at least the #2 RB in a committee. i wish there were more opportunities for him. i feel good having him as the #4 RB, tho. imo, he's more reliable than goodson. not quite as dynamic, but he's tougher and he hangs on to the ball. he's a great blocker, too.

Am rewatching game and there were two turnovers on the Dolphins first drive that could have changed the outcome of the game. First fumble was blown dead and 2nd we have 12 men on the field. Have to remember, Beason, Gamble, and Hardy are not playing. Our LBs will be sick once Beason is back.

Sutton looked decent, Olsen and Shockey will be used and if the WRs can get better seperation then uh oh. and the most positive thing is that Cam Newton got a full taste of the NFL and while people will say what was positive about it, what was positive is that he got experience as a starter which will only help in the long run.

    • Mr. 0-2 every year to start the season in his career. Last year was the first year he ever played a week 3 game.
    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
