I lost my best friend this morning,

I know your pain, it's worse seeing your pet die, but.. be glad you was there with him.

It's just the ugly side of nature. Props to you for being able to share your story after going through this. The hardest part is there really isn't any medicine for losing a loved one, only time.

Our 15-year old Black Lab had to be put down a year ago and it's difficult and we still have her 16-year old sister.

I would be absolutely devastated if I lost one of my cats...a pet loss is a pet loss. It sucks. Just reading this thread is making me sad. Anyone who has a heart should understand your pet's passing regardless of what it may have been

I always had dogs as a kid, and I've lost many a long the way, one got stolen, two got hit by cars, one died of plain old age. It's never easy no matter the circumstances and I wish you best and understand how you feel.

I got my current dog, a boxer while my wife was pregnant with my daughter, so they will grow up together and we adopted another dog a few months back, a border collie/ shepherd mix.

That is the 2nd saddest thing I have heard all day, and definitely made me cry.

My bf lost his pup this morning too. Kidney failure. They had to put him down. He has a brother doggie and he said he is just walking around looking for his bro. Breaks your heart it really does.
