Gamble doubtful

So i guess i wont get to see Gamble getting beat up and down the field this week. bummer. Shut down corner money for a marginal at best CB. When is his contract up again?

wow............... He's been really good this year, take away last season and his career has been pretty dang good and consistent.

consistent? i guess im wrong as ive always been under the impression that he was good the first couple seasons then started getting toasted on a regular basis every week. maybe he has been better this year you are right but i just havent ever been too impressed. Honestly i guess its because of his huge contract and i just dont feel he lives up to that or is anywhere near worth that.

Gamble is a big physical player who excels in man and bump and run coverage and had some pretty good seasons in 2008 and 2009 with a combined 30 PD's and 7 INT.

Wow...when I looked over the thread I was suprised to not see a ton of people bashing an injured player! For all those that were against D-Will making a lil over 8 million this year do you think Gamble is worth 9.2 million? It's just when I hear people say he has played "great" I truley do not understand. Do I dislike Gamble? I don't dislike him as a person but yeah I've been wanting for a few years to see the panthers upgrade at the CB position. I will say Gamble has played better but nothing spectacular! It's not like if we lost him we would lose a Beason or Davis, even a Charles Johnson on defense. I feel in the AZ game Kolb, who might be a lil better than Clausen, spent alot of time scrambling bc of pressure. I wouldn't say he really had time to find his top reciever and Wells was successful. Later in the game the Cardinals had to force the issue and that's when our secondary was exposed. In the Green Bay game, Rodgers had to scramble alot but keep in mind we basically only had to play 3 quarters of defense. Later on in the game our secondary was exposed more again. I know it wasn't all Gamble's fault but he did get beat it seemed during crucial times. Gamble has played better than what I would have thought but I don't agree with "great". It would be nice to see what Butler has and hopefully Gamble can come back stronger than ever. I know it might make some people mad and if I'm left eating my words later, drinks are on me for a lucky huddle fan!
