One of Our Biggest Problems Sunday

2008 2nd Round + 2008 4th Round + 2009 1st Round Picks = Jeff Otah (INACTIVE)

2009 2nd rounder = Sherrod Martin (OUT 2nd Half)

2010 1st rounder = Mike Goodson (INACTIVE) and Everette Brown (CUT)

2010 2nd rounder = Jimmy Clausen (INACTIVE)

Not a single pick used from the first two rounds from 2009 or 2010 draft was on the field in the second half.

From all the 1st or 2nd round draft picks from the past 4 drafts only one player started and played the entire game: last year's first overall, Cam Newton. Only 4 saw the field at all.

Talk about Free Agency all you'd like, our drafting has become miserable.

    • My take on Darnold was always that he was fine with a good offensive line but would wilt under pressure with a poor line (Jets and Panthers). Seattle began the year w/ a pretty bad oline and they improved somewhat but Darnold is showing he is a pretty good qb. Imagine what the Panthers would be today with Darnold and without Bryce Young and all the wasted draft picks to get him.
    • Similar situation but that would be a better version than what we currently have. Sam isn't a franchise QB but he is a good bridge guy. Either Seatle finds a young guy to groom or they have hit their ceiling. They 100% can't put it on Sam's shoulders and expect to win but the team needs to carry less with him at QB to win vs what this team has to do with Bryce.
    • to me the post would suggest Sam Darnold was good last night because Seattle won in a wild game.   Which is what we do with Bryce Young.   Sam Darnold didn't play well last night.  Which is how he trends, goes to a new team.....looks okay and becomes classic Sam Darnold down the stretch.  Last 6 or 7 weeks old bad Sam is coming out a lot (and then a weird Atlanta game mixed in lol).
