Did you know you can still travel across the ocean as a passenger on a boat?

WTF, you could take 3 week long Cruises on Royal Carribean, get laid and live in luxury while you write your novel for that price.

How do you get home from Australia btw?

not an environment conducive to writing a book. i need adventure

i'll stay in australia a few days, probably rent a motorcycle and cruise the coast, then fly home via shanghai

What is the book about? Just curious. I write short stories myself, but other than in local media I haven't shared any of my material. For the most part I write for myself, it's been a mental outlet since I was young. I've had an idea for a novel about the 1973 Yom Kippur war, focused on the tank battles in the Golan heights. After researching it a bit I'm convinced it would make a great story. The history writes itself.

21 days on a freight liner would be a bit too much for me. Good luck. I always enjoy your pictures/stories and I look forward to seeing more. Mostly I'm just jealous; you're living my dream. :D

PhillyB, I fuggen hate you....all out of jealousy of course.

I for one, totally understand why you would pay more to get there slower and I am totally envious.

Do you have a fricken job man? Peru, 3 week boat ride to Australia....dayum!!!

just curious...I know you want to write a book and all....about what by the way?...but anyway...if not for the book, can you still get on these boats as a part time employee for a reduced price?
