I really like Worthy at DT. I might go brokers, worthy, still

Horrible, less-than-thought-out fanboy trade scenario: trade down with Cincinnati and draft a slidingduetopot Kirkpatrick AND Worthy in the first.

Markelle Martin in the second and Nigel Bradham later in the draft.

Sign that big NT from San Diego.

Defense fixed. Hurney, cut me a check.

Brockers and Kirkpatrick getting no love.

I trust Mayocks judgement however.

He probably will cite Brockers' lack of experience and a small body of work as reasons he has him rated third. Still probably means he's a first founder in his eyes.

I really believe Jayron Hosley is a top 5 CB in this draft. If he wasn't hurt a lot this past year he really might have been a 1st rounder.

It might be a reach to take him early in the 2nd round, but if we manage to trade down and get an additional 2nd I would love the pick.

To me, he hedged his bets, because at the same time, he mocked Cam high. As if to say "I don't think hes this good, but I think hes going here". I didn't like that.

Uh, that's precisely his job. On one hand he is supposed to evaluate players based on how good he thinks they are, but he is also supposed to use what he knows about teams inner workings to predict who THEY will draft, not who he would draft.

i look and respect his opinion, but i take what he says with a grain of salt.do my own homework.

This is key to me.

Interested in a particular prospect? Do your own research. It's not that hard, just takes some time.

The average layperson cannot do this with all the prospects, but it isn't that hard to do with our likely picks in the first 2 rounds.

The "pros" are trying to keep tabs on 300 guys. We have the luxury to just focus on maybe 20 possible early picks in order to form our opinions.

Everyone needs to realize that Mayock also tends to favor seniors over underclassman in his initial rankings. This is because until he knows what underclassmen are declaring, he focuses mostly on seniors in his film study. That's one reason why you can expect a big shift in ranking between now and the draft.

Also, rankings and evaluations at this point are very rudimentary, and will change as the analyst learns more about each prospect.

Looking at these mockers and analysts, it really seems no one knows where to put Poe.

I've seen him listed as the top DT in places and others have him as low as 6 or 7. Poe and Worthy will be interesting to keep an eye on through the process.
