CIAA has put us on the map

I was uptown last night. That tourney sure does bring a huge crowd to Charlotte. Every club, paid parking lot, and restaurant was jammed packed. The streets were packed like mardi gras. Good for the uptown economy no doubt.

I lol'd at the local crackheads who came out to "holla" at the fine collegiate women. More delusional than Cowboys fans.

I was out Friday night and the crowds were insane. I had to stay away from Uptown on Saturday with TI, R Kelly, etc around. I heard that even DJ Jazzy Jeff showed up. When's the last time you heard THAT name?

Uptown during CIAA reminds me of the greyhound bus station in Atlanta, at 3am....right across the street from Magic City.

If you've been there you know what in talking about.

Not funny. Been there - waiting for the marta to open. I prefer CIAA over that mess 366 days a leap year.

Couple years ago we were flying out of Charlotte to Aruba and we got a hotel room close to the airport as we had a very early flight. Of course, we booked the rooms a few weeks in advance and had no idea what the CIAA tournament was or anything...

...we thought we just got a hotel in the wrong part of town... 'course, we got no sleep that night with all the noise. I don't understand the need to yell at someone standing 3 feet away in normal conversation.

So, when we couldn't sleep, we just went down to the lobby and people watched all night- was freakin' hilarious

    • i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that?  even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
