My hope is that you will all have to get used to the name. We need that "monster" in the middle and this is the guy. 54 tackles, 10TFL, 2 sacks, 1FF, 1 Blocked kick. 6'6" 322lbs(combine).

Panther Nation this is the true "monster" in this draft #90 of LSU.

Big up to the remaining members of the Michael Brockers band wagon! Keep hope alive!

After watching some tape, this guy gets double teamed almost every play.

Unless we trade down, I have a feeling we will draft Brockers then a CB in the second which im thinking will be Hosley.

Although a better scenario would be trade down and draft Kirkpatrick and get lucky and have Worthy fall to us in the second.

Dont mind having Brockers, not at #9 though, late 1st or early 2nd and I'm all in.

Good thing about this draft is the depth at DT and CB. The bad thing is that since Poe has fallen in the rankings recently that puts Brockers and Cox front and center as the best DT's in the draft.

Brockers will not make it past 12-13 and may just go #6 overall. This guy is a prize in the draft.

    • yeah, now it's going to get awkward.  The team circles pay attention to all this stuff.  All the wives and girlfriends see the posts.  They all talk like everyone.  Football is just a normal world outside of the fact they play a game for lots of money.  Gossip travels. They know the Theilen's want out at this point.  Carolina is now the disappointed failed trade location.    So now AT takes sort of an inhouse hit in Carolina IMO
    • Ummm... The dude looked like he was about 180 pounds soaking wet with us (I don't care what his listed weight was/is) - he would have been destroyed in the run game even more than our current and past crappy ILBs. The problem is we primarily play 3-4 or nickel/dime - there is little room on the field for him because he isnt an edge LB blitzer and he can't cover for crap. The only thing he can do kind of well is be an in-the-box safety that can try and beat blockers to the spot because of his athleticism. Washington was able to make him work last year because they used him solely as an in-the-box safety and almost exclusively ran a single high FS. The funny thing is they had good yards/game stats against the pass despite most of their secondary having embarrassingly low PFF grades. Washington was also terrible against the run, which might explain why they gave up so few yards passing.
    • Just get the deal done. We've teased it so much that the Thielen's expect it. Now we run the risk of our veteran WR locker room presence becoming disgruntled. Just take what we can get, make him happy, and get future assets while freeing up snaps for guys who will be here beyond this season.
