Kuechly On Sports Science Espn

This is just not true anymore and I wish people would realize this. With the new pay scale, the 9th pick will get around 12 million total, on 4 years.

Throw out most of the old ideas about reaches/positions at what spot in the draft etc.

GM's and teams can now take risks more easily and due to this, the draft is probably going to be insane this year with trades, etc.

and then the inevitable tens of millions of dollars worth of a contract extension this team likes to give out like candy to linebackers

somehow I think that money would be better allocated to a DL with the potential to be elite, because you can't find elite DLs in free agency for 12 million. But you can sign a linebacker that can rack up 100 tackles in a season for much less than that. We just signed one last year.

The rookie cap is now in place which means teams will become more risky. this doesn't mean teams are going to be more willing to draft kickers and punters in the first round. This only means teams will be more willing to take chances on QBs with more potential than polish for example. Less stigma if a franchise player doesn't pan out.

Why you guys hating on sports science? The reason these guys look impressive is because THEY ARE. They only pick great athletes to feature never an average bum.

I'm not hating on it. I find it very enjoyable. But people are being ridiculous if they put too much stock in it. Their numbers are unrealistic and flawed.

Does Kuechly hitting as hard as 3280lbs of force sound remotely realistic to you?

I'm a huge Luke fan by the way. Not bashing him. But perspective needs to be used for this. SS is a great interesting thing ESPN has but nobody should put too much stock into it.

False. Jimmy Graham will burn and has burned any LBer in the league. Lets hear more about how he will keep Graham in front of him and tackle 12 yards down the field though. See other Koochy thread for more details.

Graham has had one good season.....and got to play Carolina and Tampas D twice each. That is 1/4 of his schedule against garbage. Also had tons of other pathetic Ds to play against. he is good.....he isn't an all time great and uncoverable as you suggest

Sportsscience could make CatMan look like a record setting triathlon star. Nothing to see here folks.

Jon Beason is impressed and not by this piece on Luke....just bc he is a beast. But I guess you know better than Beason as well....

I am the guy who says if you draft Luke....he will find his way into a starting role. We have no OLB..... A questionable MLB..... And JAG at SLB.

    • Sunday Ticket is now offering a monthly subscription if you're not interested in subscribing for the full package Keep in mind that the full package will be less expensive than getting billed monthly for the same timeframe.  But for a one-off month situation? Certainly an option to consider they also don't seem to mind if 2 households share the same Sunday Ticket login. If you call and ask for discounts, they kinda allude to "do you have a friend you can share the cost with" in the conversation
    • Watching ALL the games will require: Antenna or cable access to local broadcast partners to view the games of the local team. Due to blackout restrictions, the local games will not be available on Sunday Ticket.  What this means is that you DON'T NEED Sunday Ticket to view those local team's games. All games for a local team will ALWAYS be available on a local broadcast partner, no subscription required I've had success streaming the evening Sunday and Monday national games directly off the NFL/NBC/ABC websites, no subscription required. That said, ESPN may require login via your cable provider account - but it's included in your cable fee, so have fun with that.  NBC is available for free via antenna (or avail via cable, take your pick -- and ABC has been simulcasting the ESPN games, so that's also an antenna/free optio. The Peacock and Netflix exclusive games will require subscriptions to those services if the teams are not your local team YouTube will broadcast the Brazil game free  NFL Network for those random thursday games that aren't your local team... until the ESPN partnership comes into play, in which case your ESPN subscription should give you access (lots of assumptions with this bullet) Everything else is pretty much Sunday Ticket or go to your local bar I may have missed one, but the general gist is above In short, don't believe the online influences who say you need to purchase a full-year subscription to a service to watch "all" the NFL games (ie full year of Peacock). Because you don't need a full-year sub.   So no -- there is not a single service that will let you watch ALL the games Sunday Ticket will only cover you only for the sunday daytime games.
    • Aaaaaaand... ND immediately throws an INT. Tried to run that same screen they've ran a dozen times tonight and Miami had two defenders sitting on it and he threw it anyway.
