Bruschi Props

Recommended Posts

Yesterday on NFL Live there was discussion surrounding the most underrated pickup this offseason. I think It was Wingo that said it had to be the Patriots picking up Brandon Lloyd. He then looked to Bruschi for agreement but Bruschi was all over the Mike Tolbert signing. Said putting a versatile FB like Tolbert in with two feature backs and Cam will give the offense a lot more options and should be fun to watch. Likely the best run game in the league.

Looking forward to September

I saw that - was kinda surprised that the Tolbert signing got the props it did because it's even passed over locally a lot because we're all so concerned with whether our defense will manage to play NFL ball this year or if we're going to have the Ice Capades in the middle of the field again.

I agree with him though - that could be an addition that makes our already monster backfield the best in the league.

I really hope we use Tolbert on loads of screen passes. It seemed to be his bread and butter in SD.

The problem is, Stew is really good at that as well, so it would fix a problem we don't have. However, with both in the backfield, we could conceivably send Stew to the left and Tolbert to the right and screen to either side.

Other than goal line, Tolbert will probably touch the ball more in the passing game than the running game.

Sadly within 5 years the Panthers will be nut hugged to no end like the patriots or dallas.

Well - I meant to hit Quote and I hit Pie instead....so congratulations on free pie?

Anyhow...there are worse things in the world than a little nut hugging.
