Help me get this right. The 'Elders' forum was created to give the folks with a significant post count a place to go where they can avoid the chest thumping BS by newbs and troll invasions. Mods and admins don't do anything to stop it, don't like it themselves, so create a new area where they and a select few can go to not have to deal with it? AND they seem to have decided to lock it to prevent lurkers from even reading. Congrats on trying to copy the Falcons' "Pure Football". I'm headed to google to find a new home for lurking.

Actually, it started on a whim, developed into a joke, and now exists purely to annoy people as I receive nasty PMs from everyone.

Reminds me of the 70s, a decade of failed social experiments. Except they could blame it on the drugs.........

That was a great Elder/Huddle event we had this past weekend. I miss the ole Huddle Events and was glad to drink beer with the old timers (Skew) and meet some of the kittens in person. Glad to see posting this much has finally paid off. :)

See you all in August for the next one.

I wouldn't feel too bad. It's for people with over 5000 posts, and some of them have been registered for maybe a year. It's more of a place where people that LOVE to argue with no real end game in sight can get together and not argue :P

      I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.

      This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
