What NFL Execs Think of Cam: AFC Executive: "Cam Newton Already A Top 3 NFL QB"

The response to the guy who said noone goes 30/20 in college made me lol a little.

It's certainly a different thing to have a QB here that draws league wide attention...though I suppose it will completely ruin our ability to scream "under the radar" on the Huddle non-stop.

Rodgers, Brees, and Brady seem to clearly be the cream of the crop. However, is Peyton Manning healthy? If so, he's right there too. Eli has two rings now and that can't be denied. He won last season with the worst rushing attack in the NFL. That's legit.

Right now, I have a really tough time arguing Cam as top 5 - right now. Yes, he had a tremendous rookie season, but to be top 5 you need to have the stats and the wins, IMO.

I think Cam Newton is a top 10 NFL QB right now though. If I was an NFL GM and we were rebuilding the league and every player was put in a huge draft, the only guy I'd even consider taking over Newton, age being considered, is Aaron Rodgers. That's it.

I rank Cam as one of the hardest players to "stop" in the NFL, but not in the top 3 of QB's.

History has proven that you have to be able to pick apart teams from the pocket to win consistently win in the NFL. Cam can do that, but not as well as Rodgers, Brady, Manning, Rivers, etc......yet.

When he masters the throwing side of things, then he really will be unstopable.

The thing is that I totally would would put Cam in my top 3, just because of the things he can do that pretty much nobody else can.

Rodgers

Brees

Newton

Brady.
