I read on PFT that an NFC team has already tabbed him worthy of a 3rd round grade.

I think the Panthers are still in the market for a WR, but not a WR like Plaxico. I think they're looking for a young guy who can can just stretch the field. I know Jacoby Jones isn't as young as Gordon, but they are similar players.

I'd have no problem w/ them using a 4th on this guy. We need as much artillery as we can get. Who knows about Gettis/Pilares, and I honestly think Adams will be used strictly on ST.

Keep in mind some of the teams hyping him could be trying to fake someone else into using a higher pick on him than they otherwise might have.

Yup. This is NFL front office 101.

Hard for me to imagine him being picked before the 4th or 5th round.

Didn't really set himself apart with that time(4.52). So anyone think he'll still go high in the supplemental draft?

40 times are often overrated...so are one day workouts

A guy can have a slow day....a guy can can have an abnormally good day. Plus the whole football speed vs track speed thing.

Fastest guy on a football field doesn't always have the best 40 numbers.

My prediction is the same, gone with a 4th

No way it didn't hurt. They guy didn't have an amazing college career. If he ran what everyone thought(4.3s) then 4th was def possible( overlooking the off the field issues) but I'm going to say 6th, now. There were a lot of guys with his measurables in the draft, who were late picks to UDFAs.

Didn't help....not sure it is the blow some think. Kinda like Cam looking meh throwing the ball at the combine....fans put a lot of stock into it. A NFL team interested in a guy is looking at a big body of work IMO

    • I have said if you out even an average QB into the offense we are averaging 25+ points a game. But that will never happen with Bryce under center.
    • The defense is 28 out of 32 in salary cap allocation for 2025. We have a ton of resources tied up in the offense including the highest paid OL in the league multiple 1st round WR's and multiple recent draft picks across the offense at TE and RB and we have two 1000 yard backs. Bryce and company couldn't get past Tyler Shough and his crew in 2 games. That's all there is to it. You can spin it and put the entire onus on the defense to your heart's desire it doesn't change the fact that this is an OFFENSIVE team now. If you want to argue that we should revert back to a defensive identity as we have been in the past which has brought us success then I will agree with you on that. But as it stands the onus is on the offense because that is where we have invested through the nose. Dave Canales and Bryce Young need to do a hell of a lot better than they have against the rebuilding Saints who without us should only have 2 wins this season.
    • Bryce is not trending up. He is the same QB he has always been. Bottom of the league in most categories.  If Canales thinks he can build a contender with Bryce then he is a bigger idiot then I thought.  Offense next year will have the same issues and be just as inconsistent as it was this year.  We have seen Bryce’a ceiling and it is 175 yards a game and that is not a QB you keep around as your starter. That is barely a backup.
