Whats the deal with Cam charging for Autographs today?

From what i underdstand auttograph hunters that pay that amount of money fro an autograph also gets them access to Cam. That means they can stand across the table and talk with him as he signs. That is probably more favorable than trying to catch his attention in a long line while he speed signs his name. So there is a little more value for what they pay than just a signature. I stil wouldn't pay the money though.

Many of the residents I know of Charlotte simultaneously want to talk up Charlotte as being on the level of cities like Atlanta and New York and then lament it "losing its small-town charm." Pick a damn side and stick with it. Fowler's attitude of being OK with Cam charging for autographs anywhere but Charlotte is an example of this retarded attitude. He's a big boy in a major city, charge the hell out of 'em.

Maybe the people who want the first are different from the people who say the second thing.

Regardless...still no clue what that has to do with the article.

If an adult want an autograph they are going to sell most likely then I have no issue with collecting money.

Give it to kids for free

Any by this I don't mean to give it to kids at this event for free. There are plenty of situations to get free autographs this just isn't one of them. This is specifically for those weirdos who value paying for the whole package. It's not like there are children who find out at the end of the line that they are expected to shell out cash.

I appreciate and respect Cam even more now for charging grown men for some scribbles of ink - suckers!

what's funny is that someone in here is going to make a thread celebrating the autograph they just got at that signing to put right beside their autographed helmet they spent $500+ for, their collection of baseball cards with pieces of jerseys attached, and their julius peppers fathead in their mancave.

There was a baseball player years ago that signed anything and everything for anybody that asked for it because he wanted to flood the market so it was worthless. To me, that's the way to go. Because fans that want it to keep for personal enjoyment don't care if a million other people have it too. It doesn't bring down their sentimental value of it, but it makes it so people can't make a ton off of it on eBay. That's the way to do it right there. I wish I could remember what player it was.

smart move if you don't want people making money off your name and you not get any royalties.

    • I mean as far as his size goes it's all over his tape bouncing up and down on his toes in and around the pocket trying to see the field and defenses know this as well as we do but if folks here want to live in never never land and pretend it's not a thing that's their prerogative. Even our head coach has made it a key focal point to get his footwork under control. But it's still something Bryce is going to be tested on early and often no matter how many keystrokes anyone here commits to the narrative it isn't an issue.
    • It speaks volumes that when asked to define a clear performance threshold the responses instead fixate on Bryce's size. It reinforces what’s been clear for a while now... that for some, it has never been nor will it ever be about production. Any struggles will always be chalked up to his frame, and any strong play will be downplayed or disqualified via highly mobile goalposts.
    • It is hard not to feel hopeless. There is some hope buried behind a hopeless wall but the hopeless wall is thick.  Going off of the last two games I don’t see how we win.  Team looked utterly defeated on Thursday, kinda like the Leafs did when the Panthers tied the series 2-2, and we all know how that ended.  I hope for the best. I will at least turn on the game for a little while.
