Carolina Panthers' WR No.9 Jared Green

Jared Green, the son of the Hall of Famer Darrell Green. So, I was going through the transcript of Pat Yasinskas' weekly Friday Chat and I noticed that Pat gave some praises to the kid.

I wanted to know from the people who have seen Green practice/play so far in Otas or Camp on how good this kid has been. Green is more likely to end up on the Practice Squad IMO, but do anyone think he can crack the 53 man roster?

Give me yall input on Green and I am sure to keep an eye on Green tomorrow night for sure.

With the Panthers expecting to keep 6 WRs, and Smith, LaFell, Murphy, Pilares, and Gettis all expected to make it - who gets that last spot? Seems like Adams or Ajiritutu (spelled that wrong I'm sure) would be the favorite, with Armanti next, then Jared Green. Though if Gettis doesn't come back, who knows... Or, is there any chance they keep 7?

Tough to cut Adams, who they just drafted. They also are pleasantly shocked with everything they've seen out of Green. Nice problem to have. They could have an injury or two and still have plenty of depth at WR.

Besides Kuechly, Who was the panthers standout rookie

Pat Yasinskas

Well, this is a whole different level and I'm not saying he will make the final roster, but Jared Green has had an incredible camp and they seem to like everything about him.

I also just found this

this is what Torry Holt has to say about Jared Green:

"have the Panthers found a gem? Torry Holt thinks so..

I think @JaredGreenTheWR the son of @darrellgreen28 will make the @Panthers team. The young man has speed, good routes and pedigree helps."

Lol dude isn't going to make the team.

Can someone please explain this to me? I don't understand it, and I never will. We have someone who comes into camp and does all the right things, looks great, and everyone loves them, but instead of making the team they get cut and we carry someone who sucks like Armanti Edwards for example. Why do we continue to do this?

    • D Carr must have really disliked the saints to wait and do this announcement after the draft has passed if he made this call a few weeks before the draft sure they would have approached it and the offseason differently.  oh well will be interesting to see how their qbs perform.  would love to see them roll with Thill and just make the whole offense towards his skillset.  Although sadly would be only playing in about half the games with how often he gets injured.
    • I have to say it's quite fascinating seeing you pivot from months and months of wailing and agonizing about threads derailing into Bryce Young slingfests only for you to turn around and do the same thing. And just for the record. Nobody in life ever attained wisdom and clarity from mistakes by having people blindly fawn over them and tell them they are above reproach and incapable of making mistakes. Our front office is just as human as we are. And based on the fact that front offices across the league outside of a handful of teams change on a fairly regular basis it's safe to say they are certainly no more infallible than the average Joe even though they possess significantly more knowledge usually. If you want a utopia where all you do is shine shoes for anyone associated with the Panthers you go right on ahead and create yourself a new community sir. More power to you.
    • I trust Morgan when it comes to LBs so I think Wallace will do well.
