Hurney took a chance Newton because of the new cap not to mention desperate to rebound from failure Clausen. Disregarding hindsight, I cannot see Hurney naturally picking Cam with no cap in place. But it's cool, doing 'real hard' homework works too.

I think the team will do well this year, I personally predict 12 wins. However, expecting your coach to say anything other than a glaringly positive message at a team sponsored luncheon is naive. Do you honestly think ANY coach would take the podium at their post camp team luncheon and say "Well guys, girls, fans everywhere; Don't get your hopes up too high this year because I personally only see us getting six, maybe 8, wins this year. Welp, enjoy the food!"

To a point you are right, you can expect Rivera to be optimistic but he could have done that in different ways. If a coach says we are going to compete and he wants the guys to work hard whether we are 20 points ahead or behind then he is focusing more on effort and desire than talent or wins. But if he comes out and say we need to step it up to the next level and not only compete but win games and the division, he is going further based on his feelings about the team. I think Rivera expects us to compete for the division title and makes the post season. Last year I think his expectations were much lower. Just the way it comes across to me.................

It all stems from him getting infracted for calling Aries a fine young male over his avatar, and then going apeshit in the infraction forum and calling everyone queers for supporting his right to have two dudes kissing as an avatar. He's bitching at Squirrel in that OP.

i dont even mind TCF really, it's just he consistently says provably ridiculous stuff, which i can handle, but then he tries to pass himself off as all knowledgeable and ridicules everyone else with melodramatic explosiveness.

i try not to do anything but point out clear fallacies and flawed logic and clear contradictions but there's so many of them they just fall into my quote tags without even trying.

it doesn't help that he says "i'm in the army and we guys army soldier each other hehe" as a rebuttal to every criticism either.
