Predictions now considering NYG injuries......

I Agree. Doesnt it seem like every time this NYG team has an injury, someone else pops and theyre good? It pisses me off. They have so much depth.

Yeah, Their Defense is still there. Their line is sick and I would not under estimate them at all. Heck Reuben Randall might get some time too. He's a deep threat with his speed.

They're a great road team for sure, but I do believe we will escape with a win because of the short week.

I predict a comfortable win by the Giants. We'll see more game mismanagement from Rivera and Chud and the Panthers will go down two scores early.

Stay away from bridges and cliffs. We have a clear advantage due to their injured players. I would expect Chud to continue to allow Cam to scramble and make some downfield throws.

Giants are good, not great....Below is what I said on Scott Fowler's blog yesterday where he predicts a Giants win on the observer online and I stand by it....

Yes the Giants won the Superbowl last year. They played great in the playoffs. But people act like they were all sorts of awesome during the regular season. Not to take anything away from them but they squeeked into the playoffs by winning the last game of the year last year. Had they not won that game they would not have made the playoffs. Yes the Giants are really good. No they aren't kings of the regular season. They won 3 more regular season games than the Panthers did last year. Heck, in 2008 the New England Patriots went 11-5 and did not make the playoffs. Congrats to the Giants for squeeking in and winning it all.

I hope our players don't think the same way. Some people on here look pretty dumb celebrating already.

Since when does Manning need Nicks anyways? I'm pretty sure it's the other way around.

they have eli. that in itself makes it a challenge and we've seen him do more with this much or less.

the giants are a team that have shown they can overcome huge obstacles and do great when seen as an underdog...which is what they are looking at right now.

i don't care who they have running the ball or catching it...if they have eli playing we can lose.

newton hasn't yet reached that place where i can say that confidently. unfortunately all it takes for cam to lose a game is to fall into a psychological slump. as he goes, the team goes. if cam makes a mistake or two it's hard for him to shake it off. i hope that changes this year...soon.

we have talked about key matchups in this game, but the real contest is what goes on between cam's ears because if he's feeling like a conqueror, he is one. if he starts feeling like a failure, then he's that as well. once he feels like a conqueror all the time there's no team that can stand in this teams way. he's got to get back to the place he was at when he was at auburn and he couldn't be held down and he was able to get that team back from huge deficits. he was the comeback king there. that's what he needs to be. right now, that's where eli is.

If we get a lead and then sit on it like we tried to do against the Saints we could easily lose late to some of Manning's heroics. If we want to win we have to score early and late and keep the hammer down all night. There will not be a lead too big to blow if manning gets hot. I only hope we don't get behind early, then it will be an uphill climb. And right now newton has not shown he can bring them back in the 4th to win.

I think it will be a close low scoring game in the 21-17 range with either Manning pulling out the win at the end or Cam failing to do so. NY threw the ball over 50 times Sunday. On 3 days off that will take something out of the recievers even if Nicks was playing. Bradshaw has destroyed us in the past so its a good thing he is out. We will not run against this front as well as we did Sunday. The Saints are horrible on defense this year.

I think we come out throwing to set up the run this week. They will be focused on stopping the run and pressuring Newton which should give us opportunities to run as we go along. I think we have to start early and score to put the pressure on them and make them one dimensional where we can let loose the pass rush. If it close, then they could pound us with the run.

the giants are allowing 4.8 YPC, I think we're going to do more fo the same tonight like we did sunday; run the ball, have good TOP, keep the ball out of a SB Winning QBs hands.

That being said, the Giant's tackles are probably worse than the Saint's tackles are, if Gamble and Norman can do a good job on coverage, Johnson and Hardy can do a good job with our DTs pushing in the middle, I think we can force some bad throws; pressure made Eli throw 3 early picks this Sunday.

Eli is still Eli though, and in the 4th quarter he's pretty damn clutch. If we have a lead in the 4th, we need to make sure we finish like we did Sunday.

If everything goes right, I say a 34-21 win is possible.
