Panthers shuffle O-Line

If Bell can move inside I'd be stoked, we really need to strengthen that RG spot on a permanent basis. Hangartner is best as a swingman back up.

Agree 100%. I think Bell would've been inserted @ RG if Otah hadn't been a bust. Hangartner is a good backup but he was getting abused at RG.

Think of it this way:

OT is now another colossal need on an already long offseason list assuming the switch is permanent.

If it ISN'T permanent, then it'll be a nice little stunt in the development of a good RT prospect.

Lose/lose. Sweet.

I sure hope you're right. DeMarcus Ware must be licking his chops right now. Add me to the list of those wondering why we're not using Campbell in this situation.

JPP>Ware and the Giants line in general is better. Gary certainly played a solid game at RT against NY. Probably had the best overall day on the line.

G play IMO is more important for Cam than T play in many aspects.

Or...Instead of RG, we would need a RT.Or, Williams swims, and we don't need either. I think it depends on Williams. If he can hold his own or better, that would be best case.

If Williams fails, Zod forbid, we have no true options at RT. For some unknown reason, Campbell has been given few opportunities. Would be interested in seeing what happens if Williams fails.

If Williams works out it is a win/win. Otherwise, you could be correct. And this whole mess blows up in our face. Me, I tend to believe Williams is more suited fro tackle anyway. He has better footwork and is quicker than Bell.

Otah failed, so Bell moved in. Hangman, unfortunately, was a better option than Williams, so he stayed put. Now we have Bell at G. Let's hope Williams is a better T than he was a G.

Exactly, i said this last year. Cams game normally gets rattled when the guards are getting pushed back towards him. He can handle pressure from the outside better than he can from the inside.

He's part of the Houston Texans radio team. Don't know which side of the booth he stands on.

(I'm assuming you meant DeMarcus) :)

Ever find yourself typing something and there's that little voice telling you something is wrong, but you ignore it anyway? That was me about an hour ago.

I'm going to blame it on early onset senility.

    • I think we pick it up and then someone else ends up emerging as the QB next year and we end up cutting him in year 5 and eating it.  That would be the most on brand thing to happen.
    • Evero has his faults, but even in that loss, the team only gave up 20 points. Your post gets to the heart of the matter. We are not a talented team on defense at this time. Some of our younger guys may develop w/more playing time, but for now we have no impact players at LB or EDGE. We could really use a ball-hawking S on the back end as well. We have exactly two players that have to be accounted for on every play, D. Brown, and J.Horn. Mike Jackson has been solid. The other starters would probably be backups on most the upper echelon NFL teams. We really can't expect this team to a Top 10 defense with such a lack of talent. All things considered I've been somewhat impressed with how much better they have played this year.   https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-points-per-game   https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-average-team-passer-rating We are in the top 15 in terms of points allowed per game (22.6) and top 12 in defensive passer rating (88.9). And, we are doing this without a formidable PASS RUSH. Even our rushing defense has improved. We are #16 in rushing yards allowed per game (116) compared to 179 per game last season. https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-rushing-yards-per-game I wouldn't cry if Evero moved on after the season, but his defense isn't the biggest worry for our team.
    • The funny part is she looks older and not in a good way...
