Cam's talk with dad helps Cam refocus

I fully expect the peanut gallery to rip apart this part of the article...

Last year's AP Offensive Rookie of the Year spent the bye weekend visiting a haunted house, go-kart racing, watching movies, playing video games and doing plenty of "self-evaluation."

Why aren't you in the film room?!?!?!?!*

*Sarcasm intended

not really a big deal. I guess its crazy to talk to your family when you finally get a moment off from work. Hopefully it gets him going, but this shouldn't really have been anything worth writing about in the media. ESPN just trying to keep pushing the Cam drama train and keep polarizing fans so when he makes a big run with this team in the future they can turn him into LBJ.

I will say his demeanour, body language, and responses to questions were the best he has had in recent memory. He does seem more relaxed, focused, with less personal pressure.

He said he needs to "get back to things that made him successful, like his preparation" (paraphrased obviously)..which I think was the most beneficial thing he may have realized over the break.

I agree..results speak louder and talk...but at least his talking resembles what you want from the quarterback to lead your franchise for a decade or more. (removes black, silver, blue glasses).

Tired of talk.

Show me wins.

I will never understand why people say this. That's from his fuging weekly press conference, that he's REQUIRED to do. If he's asked a question about what he did during the bye then he answers it.

    • Dave in a presser gassed up Anthony Tyus III and dying to see him on the field.  I mean 3 is all that needed right, and Dan loves etienne. He's one year filling in his body. If brooks is back, toss in chubba, thats 3.
    • After seeing hits in the last two UDFA pools, I do not in this group sorta of a let down after I gassed myself up.  Not like I know of their games, but just expected more. The duke DT only has to beat out hunte (2025 UDFA) or Ray (DL coach's kid) or even Cam Jackson mid 2025 5th.  I thought they would bring in more edges, IOL, TEs, etc...
    • My 2 favorite picks, since you didn't ask? 3. Brazzell II.  A 1000 yard WR with 4.37 speed and checks all the boxes for a Z Wide Receiver.  IN THE THIRD ROUND!!! 5.  Sam Hecht.  I think he will take over as the starter at some point this season and never look back.  IN THE FIFTH ROUND. Runner Up:  2. Hunter:  We were targeting a DT early in this draft because we did very little to replace Robinson in free agency.  Hunter was our guy and he will start. In addition to that, you got a starting tackle that should man one side of the new OL we will build for Bryce's second contract. A starting WR, offensive lineman, defensive lineman and possible Offensive tackle (at some point during this year from this draft will start.  UNREAL. In addition, I don't doubt that Wheatley (5th round) takes the FS job by next year and Lee III is Jackson's replacement in 2027.   Finally, even Kuwatch should be a special teams demon and LB depth.   Last year's draft was so good it was ugly.  This one will turn out to be uglier.  No offense Basbear--this ain't about you.
