Yeah it's #1. From all of the stuff we've heard from guys that breakdown the film over the last week, he actually has excelled from under center moreso than out of shotgun this year.

I think Chud has an obsession with gimmicks and gadgets and lacks the awareness to adjust when it doesn't work. In short, he shouldn't be an OC and Rivera shouldn't be a HC.

Amazing though. Everyone thought Chud was a genius last season with some of the schemes he came up with. He was using gimmicks sprinkled in to really keep defenses guessing.

It is almost like he said.....hey, we are having success with these gimmicks....let's run them all the time. They will be even better.

Excuses excuses. I am not one that hates the guy but I think A, he is definitely struggling compared to last year and B, his body language does not reflect that of a leader. Take it how u wish.

He has struggled but I don't think its necessarily worse compared to what happened last season. Untimely mistakes, sure but its not a multitude of issues. He has made some dynamite throws and reads this season at times only to have them dropped by Murphy and Tolbert but also caught by Smitty and LaFell.

I'm thinkin' what our staff has done is stunt his learning curve of a pro-style offense. In that respect he has taken a step backwards. They just need to start having him get out there and get acclimated with a fast pace pro-style offense with variations in the gun.

That's probably exactly what he said.

Wow, this was huge coming from a respected analyst like Jaworski. His opinions are usually based off study and genuine observation, unlike many that simply base opinions from what the media feeds them - highlight reels if they like you or lowlight reels if they don't.

Funny, that many of us have been saying this exact thing on this board since week 3. And it probably only took Jaws about 2 hours to digest the film and realize the problem. Why is Chud and Rivera just now being forced to realize the problem? Doesn't leave much to be desired for our OC and HC.

McDermott actually figured out that we needed to press our CBs and at least give the fear of a blitz every now and then to be successful - another tidbit we've all been saying for some time. And he's actually turned this defense into a respectable unit right now.

People that hate Cam will continue to hate. I found myself defending him yet again last night at our flag football banquet. Living in Charlotte compounds the problems because in the group of 4 men I was talking with was a Bronco fan, a Ravens fan, a Patriots fan, and an Eagles fan. People that live in Charlotte who want to see the home team fail. It's just pathetic. Preach on Jaws!

A Ravens fan and an Eagles fan really were talking trash about Cam?

Anyone who thinks Flacco is a more capable quarterback than Cam is absolutely, positively retarded. Cam on his worst day is not half as retarded as Flacco is on an every-other-game basis.

And the 2012 version of Vick? Hahaha.....oooh boy, that's rich.

I'm really convinced that the whole Auburn scandal to begin with has drawn unrealistic criticism on Cam...really because the Panthers, as an organization, defines futility in the NFL at this present moment in time.

Hate the 'home team'? Ok, but one of the most talented, highest potential players in the league? Ask the Eagles fan next time about those shiny Super Bowl trophies that they ha....oh wait.

He did the same thing in Cleveland though. He coached an awesome year with an effective game plan that made D. Anderson look like a baller. The next year it was blatant ineptitude. I have never wanted to apply the if it ain't broke philosophy so hard. I agree, the gimmicks have become the base offense.

I recently started bartending at Cape Fear National golf course, in Brunswick Forest. I mostly just pretend that I don't really watch football so that I don't have to talk to any of my residents, or I would probably end up getting fired.

I don't disagree with anything he said. To me the big question is WHY are they running this offense.

It has to be two things:

1. They are lazy and are in over their heads.....hey he ran that offense well at Auburn, let's just do the same thing here.

2. They do not think he is capable of learning an NFL offense, making pre-snap reads/audibles, and this give him the best chance to have success.

I have no idea which one it is. But, based on the success he had last season, my money is on #1.

As I recall, a fair number of folks on here last year were fully on-board with running a college style offense thinking it would somehow better suit his skill set and ease the transition. Others among us flat hated the idea.

Pretty sure everyone wants a pro-style attack these days.

Better yet, it's around the whole state SCP. It's quite pathetic and sad.
