Mike Tolbert "Quotes" Of The Game

Don't flame me or anything like that cause we all knew that by the end of the first quarter that we knew the Chargers offense better than they did.

Mike Tolbert on helping out the defense-

"Now that the game is over, I can go ahead and say it. I gave a lot of tips to our defense about their offense, the keys, the checks, the audibles and stuff like that. I think that helped. I think they had less than 200 yards of offense. Our defense played great, so it definitely helped."

This sort of puts the win in perspective, nonetheless you use the resources you have and at the end of the day you still have to go out and execute.

Mike Tolbert on getting airborne for his touchdown-

"They don't think a little fat man can jump, but I can definitely get up."

Mike Tolbert on his Dougy-

"That's in my nature. I'm a guy that loves to have fun when I'm playing games, so I'm going to dance regardless."

Mike Tolbert on Leaving San Diego-

"Some things happened between myself and the front office that I'd rather not get into. Let's say things didn't happen the way we thought they were going to happen."

I just thought these were pretty good quote's and decided to share.

Good win.

    • This guy pre-draft was saying he could take or leave football, and he seems to have been playing with that mentality ever since lol.
    • Agreed, another safety would be nice. Bud Clark, TCU, is one I would like to see us take a flyer on later in the draft, if he stays healthy and we don't take someone earlier. I just really hope we draft a solid C this year. Tired of seeing us cycle through average to below average players in that area.
    • Bryce doesn't like throwing into the middle of the field unless the play broke down or it's set up to give him a passing lane.  So because of this issue, most of the passing offense has to be outside the numbers towards the boundary. So you see him throw a lot of dump offs, swing routes, short side out routes, comebacks or deep balls outside the numbers using the boundary as protection of an interception.    Pretty easy for a NFL defense to see this and scheme against it.  All you have to do is run a shell cover 2 deep dime, LB plays a hook underneath, take the flat away with a blitz/flat zone option for the two inside DB's, outside two DB's play hook zone underneath and carry anything deep.    Pretty much what NO ran to take away Rico while also limiting What Bryce can do as well.
