Dwayne Bowe?

i'm sure we'll be able to afford him with all of the not money we have

One of the challenges the new GM faces is creating cap space. He may cut Gross (nearly $9 million agaiinst the cap) and draft LT Eric Fisher. Fisher would play LT for $1 million on a rookie deal (for example). Cap room could be created by cutting players like DWill, Ron Edwards, Gamble, etc.

However, if your point was to emphasize how screwed we are thanks to Marty Hurney, I am all on board. What an idiot.

I think Bowe is a head case. I do not remember what he did, but something about a t-shirt rings a bell. No time to google. This post does bring up a good poiint--we need a #1 WR to really get the most of what we have left in Smitty. Cam needs another target.

Yes we might not have the cap right now. But I'm sure the new GM will work his magic when he comes in day one. That is what he is been hired for. He will know to deal with the cap and be able to scout and fine big time talent for this team.

sounds like you've been watching wrestling for far too long..

I'm sure there will be plenty of money to go after at least one top flight FA if we want to after we cut/trade/restructure Deangelo, Beason, Gamble, Gross, and whoever else we decide to make a change with

^ this

deangelo restructure

Beason probably franchised

Gamble cut

gross restructured

Stewart traded... not a fan, but he is always hurt and with team letting Cam be a QB instead of a read option puppet, Williams looks like he belongs

Seriously, start naming big-time WRs who aren't egotistical, borderline nut-jobs, divas, entitled, self-aggrandizing and arrogant.

The Ricky Proehls you all are looking for are the exception, not the rule.

True and 100% correct. The good ones (character) rarely hit the market. Greg Jennings is a good guy....

However, your reasons for taking a head case are valid if you have a disciplinarian as a coach and keep the WR on notice.

Keyshawn Johnson

Randy Moss

Terell Owens

Chad OCHO Zero

etc

These WRs prove to be more of a liability than their talent is an asset at some point in their careers.

Calvin Johnson

Andre Johnson

Larry Fitzgerald

(Top 3 in the game the last few years)

AJ Green - the new top 3 guy

Wes Welker - 100 rec per year in his sleep

Reggie Wayne - ahead of 89 all time yards/TD

Greg Jennings

The Steve Smith diva type is going away. You look at those guys above....more good guys than divas in today's NFL. Smitty is a diva type. Not a look at me diva but the entire team has to handle the guy with gloves and be in constant watch
