With DA more than likely leaving, we are left with the cream of the crop, Captain check down. Time to look for a Cam-esque player in the draft? Because if we don't and Cam goes down(please god no) we will be left with the..... Jimmeh.

I know DA hasn't left yet but prepare for the worst. Hope for the best and let n c biscuit examine your wife's breasts. Thank you.

I prefer a decent dropback passer to back up Cam, like Derek was, rather than hunting for an alleged clone. Let's not forget, Cam is who he is because of his ability to throw the ball first and foremost.

True, however. We've yet to see which OC we're bringing in and what scheme he implements We won't know what QB to go after until that is done. Or we can not worry about it and keep teh jimmeh. Or see if Jake is up to it.

    • Pretty sure that a QB contract payday is all the competition any QB in this league needs, I don't think a competent backup is going to make them play any harder when the current situation wouldn't warrant the contract extension yet anyways. Your opening point in this post is also the problem, "Bryce has shown signs of improving", but that's still all he's shown, and he's only showing that because of just how bad he was to start his career. If he played like last season from the beginning and never improved one bit, then I actually think more fans would be ready to move on from him, which is what's weird.  It's like going from one of the biggest draft busts of all time into the 25th best QB in the league over 3 years means he deserves a long term $40+ million a year contract extension. Improvement shouldn't be the goal when the result of said improvement is still bottom of the league levels.
    • Yeah, but we've seen him do it. Just not often. I think that's the reason for the taller WRs. Would likely be a problem finding someone like Jimmy Horn in the mess.
    • And the Rams, Seattle, Patriots, Green Bay, Jaguars and the Bills who all made the playoffs and in case you forgot, Seattle and the Patriots played in the SB. By any measure, that's pretty brutal.
