Sheldon Richardson (yes again)

We may get a run stuffier depending on how Coach feels Kerse and Fua are developing but our more obvious need on defense is in the secondary. With some teams like the Saints and Broncos you are not going to get to the qb so you need guys that can cover. As safety will help in those situations. We have some pretty good TEs in our division.

Read the link about 89 on the radio. I love what he says about Cole. If that is true, I already feel better about DT.

I didn't like Richardson for a long time, but I've gone back and watched a few full games and I've actually moved into the pro-Richardson camp. What I see is a DT that can penetrate even when doubled, hustles every play, doesn't seem to ware down easily like most DT's and shows the willingness to tackle down-field. He certainly has his ugly plays, but I honestly wonder if when he's paired with two elite DE's and three LB's that are great at tackling you could see something very special emerge. Believe me, I like guys in the mold of a Star Lotulelei much more, but I can understand why Richardson creates such division.

If Richardson is on the board at #14, I think he'll be the pick. He'll either be a Panther or a 49er, though I like him better as a 3-4 DE.

If Gettleman drafts him then obviously he has confidence in the guy and has watched lots of film on him. After our last 2 first round picks, Gettleman is not going to want to strike off given he prides himself on being a good judge of talent. I trust he has given this a lot of thought and preparation. So I would trust his judgement on this. If he thinks Richardson is the right pick, I would tend to agree with him until he is proven otherwise. Last year many folks didn't think linebacker was a need either and we see how that worked out.

I would hate to get him. There are probably going to be better prospects available at 14. Sheldon Richardson gets blown off the ball in the run game, yes he catches them 10 yard down the field but how does that help if they have already gained the first down or have scored a touchdown. We already have a good pass rush we need a big hog Molly or wat ever Gettleman said. Richardson is the opposite for that.

Plus I don't even think we have brought him in for a visit.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
