Peppers

i agree with what your saying.

Although there is still nothing wrong with talking about peppers.

but what else is there to be said? he's just another former panther.  just another guy on another team.

all that there is to say about him has been said a million times over. he's pretty much just a big eared dead horse of a topic anymore. if we had no future i could see hanging on, but much better days are ahead with a better team. i just don't see the point of looking backward.

it probably wouldn't be so bad if we didn't just have some clown come in here a couple weeks ago just to talk about his love for peppers. wasn't a panthers fan, just wanted to try and rub it in our noses that the supposed best player in panthers history quit our team.

Said f*ck you to us, we say f*ck you to him.

Actually it was the other way around. The Panthers  FO said "fug you" to him, and he said fug you" to them. He never said "fug you" to all the bitchy, whiny Panthers fans that continu(ed) to talk poo about him during and after all the good years that he gave us, but he probably should have.

The way that some Panthers fans act(ed) towards Pep is disappointing in my book. It shows a lack of class, and mars an otherwise intelligent fanbase.

He thought the grass would be greener.  I'm sure he hates Chicago by now.

Knowing Peppers that does not bother him. He is making millions while getting blocked by TEs. I'm sure Peppers called Anderson when he was released and said "dude this GM is dumber than Hurney, get over here quick".

was "fug you" written on the franchise tender when marty hurney paid him $16.7 million for one season

maybe marty hurney just started yelling "fug you" in 2007 when the panthers were trying to make him the highest paid defensive player in the league

or maybe it happened again in 2010 when we tried to pay him $14 million/year shortly before he signed with the bears: http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcsouth/post/_/id/8541/panthers-made-last-ditch-run-at-peppers

Why do we even care about Peppers anymore?  He's a former Panther who plays for the Bears....like every former Panther for some reason.

He's not even a recent departure really.

Do we not have enough current crap to be up in arms about?

there are still people who are butthurt and think marty hurney and jerry richardson ran him out of town or were "too cheap" to offer him a top shelf contract.  as if hurney ever had a problem backing up an 18 wheeler of cash to our own star players.

i'm no defender of richardson or (perhaps especially) hurney but the constant revisionism is annoying.

This can't be serious.

lol talk about revisionist history. he said he didn't want to come back back after we lost that last playoff game. he blew off the FO who was offering to give hime the biggest contract for pretty much any defensive player ever. he wouldn't even talk to the FO. he complained about getting tagged and made it plain, through his agent, that he didn't want to be tagged again and then he appropriately played to get another contract and he didn't even sign the tag until the last moment with threats of hilding out....again, thru his agent. they blew off any further communication with the team and when his tag was up, the FO got a clue that he didn't want to be in carolina anymore and gave him what he said he wanted....out.

and then what does he do? say he was willing to talk and work something out and act surprised that they let him go...please. he just didn't want to look like it was his fault but if you were paying attention at all you could tell he didn't want anything more to do with the team and turned into a passive aggressive turd in tbe process.

when he went to chicago he confessed to half assing it while he was here.

the whole thing just shouts that it was peppers who was the problem....not the panthers. he didn't want to be here anymore and he got what he wanted....not what the team wanted, but what he wanted.
