Brandon Williams #2 TE?

i've been intrigued by him for a while.  dude is obviously jacked as everyone has said. Seems to be an excellent blocker and he's been out of the game for 2 years. Played basketball in college and broke pretty much every school record.

and we signed him while the draft was going on. there are a few articles on him out there. he seems legit to push for that #2

We are due to have a nobody become a near pro bowler right?

Antonio Gates was a project turned prototype TE in 2 seasons. I think Nelson Rosario's release was both him not having the blocking strength and Brandon Williams performance.

I remember when Gettles was asked about signing another tight end and he said the answer is sometime already on the roster. i really hope this is the example and that Madden grants him at least 84 speed.

Anybody have any video of him at oregon?  Or measurables from the combine?  A link will get some pie.

he got injured before he could play at oregon

here is him at junior college and it is ridiculous.

edit: apparently he did play some games at Oregon.

i was getting ready to find that and post it.

this guy could be one of several steals this offseason.

i can't see much of anyone he wouldn't be a mismatch for.

It'd be AWESOME if Brandon Williams is all we're hoping he'll be.  Having a bball TE like Graham, Gonzalez, Gates would go a long way in mitigating the pressing need for more WR help.

I think I'll go ahead and hop on the Brandon Williams bandwagon.  I need an unproven potential guy to support for this year :)

edit:  In retrospect of this post, we need to get him to change his name to Brandon Gilliams to fit the Graham, Gonzo, Gates, Gronk pattern.

    • I am high, but that’s besides the point! The blue line is not good right now. I’ve said it all year. I don’t think this group meshes well. Slaven has been just OK Niki up and down Miller up and down ghost and Walker have been your most consistent guys. Maybe it comes together more towards the playoffs
    • I was expecting to see more cap room moves by now, which may be to suggest that we are not going to be that aggressive.  I have mixed emotions about that (because I think we have 3 needs on D and 3 needs on O--starters).  If you look to the draft for 3 starters, that is ambitious.  We need 6
    • Yeah we shouldn’t be competing with teams, bidding wise, to sign a WR. There will be one for us and our budget.  I keep saying, how many balls will there be to go around anyway? One thing good I will say for this offense is the ball has been spread around at times. Seems like I remember seeing a large number of guys have caught passes in a game. Or been targeted at least. 3 RBs 4 or 5 WRs 2-3 TEs type of stat lines. 10-11 guys.  Not every week but that happens.    As far as WR in general, we need the smaller agile and quicker component to compliment what is there. After that it should be about depth, having good backups for the starters so we can run things consistently still, if a guy is out for a week or two. That is especially important in game where you have to finish the game with who you made active.
