Am I the only person who gets super excited over the thought...

Of Beason, Kuechly and Davis all playing on the field at the same time. By far the best LB core in the league assuming Beason comes back even close to his old form. Plus Our nasty D-line with the addition of Star, Short and Mike Mitchell laying the wood at Safety!

As long as our GM throws a little Gettlemagic on the O-line (fingers crossed) I can't help but to be optimistic about this years team, i wish most of you guys could do the same. This season can't get here soon enough!

Go Panthers!!

I LOL'd at "Nasty DLine"

Of course Star and Short help, but the only thing nasty about our DLine is how big the running lanes are, how nearly every RB we face has his best game of the season against us, and and our DLine made Brady Quinn look like Peyton Manning

That D-line was anchored by Sione Fua.

Again, Sione Fua.

You can't deny that our front seven looks much improved with the additions of Star Lotulelei and Kawann Short.

Statistically our push rush was in the top three in the entire NFL last year. Our pussy ass UTs were our only weak spot in run defense. I'm not sure if you realize, but the panthers have slightly upgraded the talent at that position. But, by all means, don't let the facts get in the way of you making yourself look stupid.

Lmao "the facts"? By facts, you're referring to hoping/praying that Star works out and isnt a bust. If not, we're practically in the same boat as last year. Wow! Great "facts" you have there

I don't know about playing through pain, but if he's not 100%, he doesn't need to be on the field... the easiest way to get hurt again (or worse) is by playing when you aren't near 100%.

However, I wish you guys would give Beason the same opportunity as Davis. Time after time people had Thomas Davis's back when he was coming back from injury but with Beason, no one seems to even care.

Not sure if trolling or serious....

You're comparing star, regarded by some as the potential number one overall pick in the 2013 draft barely 12 months ago to fua, the worst starter at DT ever to be on our roster.

I guess we wouldn't know for sure that a brand new Ferrari is faster than my 20 year old Ford Taurus station wagon unless we raced, but I think its a pretty fuging safe assumption.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
