Anyone listen to Mac Attack on Wfnz?

I think they had that Football Outsiders guy on the other day?

He was very good and obviously watched the Panthers, and was/is one of the few outside analyst, reporters or broadcasters who actually questions (whether you agree with it or not) Rivera's ability to coach and lead this team. He was aware of many of Chico's past in game mistakes, that we discuss so often here.

IMO his show is the best. I freaking hate those tools Marc Jame and Taylor from the Drive.

mac is barely tolerable when he talks about the panthers, the rest of the time my ears bleed and brain cells die.

The only good show ever on WFNZ was prime time.

The best local sports radio show right now is the David Glenn show, he mainly focuses on the ACC but when he talks its actually news worthy and relevant because he's a journalist first and a radio host second and that makes a big difference.

I think Taylor would be much better alone.  Most of the time he has good perspective and seems somewhat insightful.  Then again, its probably not that hard to look good working beside Marc James.  He is everything that is wrong with radio and journalism.

I'll listen to the Mac attack pretty regularly and is generally entertaining.

but.

"The Drive" is pure dreck.

I was trying to listen yesterday since they literally had a truck ton of interviews, but I stopped the stream because I couldn't take the inane prattle. I felt like I was being punished for being a Panther fan by having to listen to those two. I've listened to interviews they have conducted in the past and too often think that I have just had my time wasted. The worst of it is the poor and tired questions they ask. I think they do not prepare for the interviews at all.

    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
    • It was always a matter of time with Cam’s playing style and a shorter shelf life than passers that protect themselves. I suppose Cam could have still been playing in 2028 ten years after the hit took place, but he would need to have evolved as a quarterback and become more of a passer than the dual threat maestro he was. It’s sad because it makes us think of what could have been, but I do feel it was always a matter of time until all the hits took their toll.
