Doing Illegal things of which your wife doesn't approve.

My wife is the most law abiding citizen ever, Not a bad thing.

She will come to a full head jerking complete stop at any stop sign.

On the interstate she puts the cruise control on the speed limit not more not less.

She is however a wonderful woman and pretty hot and apparently hasn't realized that certain sexual acts are illegal in NC.

Anyway we were driving back from 12S which is 6.5 hours. I drive 4.5 and we switch in Durham. I walk around to the back and fix a Vodka rocks in a solo cup which is my vacation drink of choice. Spend the next couple having a cocktail and surfing the iPAd. Pretty happy clam.

Later she tells me it freaked her out that I had  an open container. No problem. But I wouldn't think twice about this. I'm a risk manager by trade. I've got it all planned out if we get pulled over.

Similarly I

1) Buy weed but its a misdemeanor for possession in NC with no chance of jail

2) Play online poker which is entirely not illegal but people think it is.

There is no moral objection to drinking/smoking/ or gambling whatsoever.

But if I suggested jaywalking in downtown CLT on an empty street she would object.

Anyone relate?

Don't even get me started on the seat belt laws... nothing says "Big Brother" more than seat belt laws.

My wife is the exact opposite when it comes to "illegal." We've been together 18 years and she's gotten more tickets in 3 of those years than I've gotten in 40 years of driving.... and she thinks I'm way too aggressive in the road. She just gets caught- I don't.

Go to a Panther game, she'll be one of those who find their way to the front row behind the bench... same with concerts.

We recently moved and were looking at houses... she tells me to pull into the driveway, get's out and starts looking through windows of people's homes... they're for sale, not vacant.... I tell her someone named George Zimmerman is going to shoot her and she laughs...

... and she is the GM/COO of a $6M/year business with a 6-figure salary... I do have to sometimes remind her she has no street smarts and is really a dumb fug at times.

    • He is "Keep Pounding." https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45498715/nfl-carolina-panthers-chuba-hubbard-olympics-flag-football-track
    • This.  He knows where the seam is about to open, cuts, and accelerates hard. He’s slippery and tacklers always seem to be taking awkward angles to get to him. No dancing. Runs low and powerful. Almost never goes backwards for a loss. We’ve rarely had the guy who bounces off of tacklers. It’s nice seeing another one.
    • I can't speak for others but yes I read it. The conclusions are based heavily around the use of the statistical metric DYAR created by football outsiders and used by ESPN for this article. It only includes players whose production began in 2000. But excluding HOF running backs who produced BIG in an iteration of the NFL that was not yet catered to making things much easier for offenses in order for them to prop up more recent candidates is rather absurd and seems like just playing favorites regardless of where one might fall on their opinion of the use of the metric in question.
