calling it now

offense is gonna have serious issues, anyone not named steve smith cant get open, lefell is a pretty bad #2 if not one of the worst in the league.

Wr corps - i remember when devid gettleman said you dont trade a dollar for 3 dimes, well you got a whole bunch of dimes here outside of 89   Grade D+

RB's - D-Will looks done, as much as i like him i think his time is about up in the NFL. Stewart not healthy.  Grade C

O-line is old and overated, terrible depth, terrible talent overall really, amani is aweful and so is byron bell. why u people think otherwise i will never understand. Grade D

QB - Cam gonna be Cam. Grade A

Outside of Cam, Smith, and Olsen there is a huge lack of talent on offense

Defense

D-line  Amazing with good depth, beside fua. Grade A+

LB core  -  top 3 in the league if not the best, amazing depth. Grade A+

Safeties - turrible. Grade F

corners - average players, but these guys know how to abuse routes from the pressure cause by our d line. Grade C

This is a bit of a kneejerk reaction to a series of preseason games.

There are concerns on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball, sure, but the team has not forgotten how to play offense in the offseason anymore than our entire coaching staff is suddenly not fit to coach a PeeWee team / has forgotten that there are plays other than running up the middle and non-PA passes in the playbook.

Things will return to median as the actual season starts.  Maybe the offense is slightly worse, or hampered by bad OL play.  Maybe that's offset by better D play, maybe it's not.  But an indictment like bottom 3rd in the league without a single regular season snap played is both premature and silly.

I don't expect us to be as good as we'd like to be but our offense certainly won't be as bad as you're predicting either.

I disagree... last year we where top 12 offense .... I believe we improved with the addition of FA and key players returning from injury. Cam progression alone improves the offense & the amount of turnovers the defense will generate will giving the O plenty of times to score............ I say we are top 5 offense & defense..... (11-5)

Key  Role players

OL- Wharton, Scott, Bell , Amini

WR- Ginn, Lafell, Hixon , Gettis

TE- Williams

RB- Tolbert, Barner

Lafell is NOT the worst #2 in the league that's just laughable.

DWill is not "done" his offensive line needs to do him better though.

Charles Godfrey is not turrible. The ? Is beside him though. Not an F in anyway.

Far too pessimistic a view of this team as a whole. Just like every year the perceived strength will not be as dominant as we think and our perceived weakness will not be as bad as we think.

    • Over previous years? Sure is 😆
    • An odd little vibe I've noticed here of late: some folks are "all or nothing" to an absolutely extreme level when it comes to Bryce. Here's a bit of truth telling though: There are, in fact, things Bryce does well. Likewise, there are areas in which he's improved over his time here. He has, on several occasions now, legitimately helped us win games. On the flipside, there have been failures in other areas as well as coaching that we're not in any way his fault.  And finally , it is also genuinely possible that the team may see him as the future, even if we don't. The craziest part, though? It's actually possible that they're right and we're wrong. All of this is true, and more, yet if you accept any of these premises people go from zero to apesh-t in under three seconds 😳 Anything less than total disavowal of Bryce and / or agreement that he's the worst QB of all time and suddenly you're a "stan". Oy 🙄 The reality though?  Bryce is indeed an NFL quarterback. Not a great one, probably backup level good, and I've seen way worse. Now, if you run that statement through your personal Google translator and it comes back with some version of "I want to throw 50 million a year at Bryce for the next 10 years", that's not really my issue it's yours  I don't wanna make him the franchise quarterback, but it's not my call. Win or lose, the team is going to do what they think is best. And as always, if it disagrees with what I think we should do, I'm gonna hope I'm the one who's wrong. Internet clout means nothing. Watching my favorite team win at my favorite sport meas fun 😁
