Anyone else think our secondary needs to play a lot better?

I havent checked stats this week, but I doubt we lost anything in defensive rankings. Having said that we have a top 3 nfl d right now....I think they could be playing better sure, but our D, secondary included is only giving up around 13 points a game. fuging enjoy it.

Our defense is cream of the crop in the NFL.  No defense plays perfect, sometimes they give up big plays.  We give up less big plays than most teams, so we are a good defense.  Bradford woulda been creamed if Long didn't trip him.  Expecting absolute perfection on defense and/or offense is unrealistic.  And cmon, Mitchell is making up for most of the secondary's poor plays.  Can't whine at them after they make up for it with a turnover.

Josh Thomas needs to play better and stop getting burnt. Teams are scheming to get him 1 on 1 on deep routes.

Pretty much this.  I can tolerate the occasional dinking and dunking that our team is famous for giving up, but Thomas has been giving up too many long plays especially if you count the plays that get called back because of penalties just get dropped.  Those don't hurt us as much against a team like the Rams, but when we're playing teams like the Saints and Patriots we can't rely on those bailout shortcomings of the opposing teams.

White looks promising, as does Norman. However, Josh Thomas looks really poor in man-to-man coverage. I would love us to draft Deion Belue in the mid-late rounds of this year's draft. He's not as good against the run, but he's not bad either and is awesome in man coverage.

When has Norman looked promising?

We will add a cb in the draft, but for now, White is showing promise.  Thank God for Gettlemen, or it would be worse.  Where would this group be without Mitchell, Mykell/Lester, White, Munnerlyn and Florence?  All were free agents.

Thomas and Nornan are concerning me---Thomas would be better on the #3 WR instead of drawing the #1 WR.

    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
    • 1.) LaMelo 2.) Kon 3.} Miller 4.. Giannis 5.) Moose   1.) Coby 2.) ? 3.) Sion 4.) Miles Bridges 5.) Kalk That squad would win multiple chips.
