Has the media really been to tough on us?

We're 4-3 and as soon as we got over .500 we've been getting some love.  I don't think the media has a serious bias against us.  I've really sort of gotten the impression that the media actually really wishes we were good.  It's not like we had bad ratings when we went to the Superbowl.  ESPN probably can't wait until Cam blows up.....cha ching.  Now all we need is to destroy the Saints in our all black unis.  Even though my Panthers' custom Madden uni choice is my favorite.  Black pants, blue jerseys, blue socks, all black shoes..

don't even listen to the retards who think there is (was) a media conspiracy against us. we have been mostly an irrelevant team for the past 5 years. you never hear the media talk about the raiders, titans, etc is because they are consistently mediocre. theres no excitement in that. we have been mediocre since jake delhomme poo the bed in january of 09.

I'm more worried about getting too much press and the player believing the clippings.

I agree to an extent.

I don't think the media is entirely on our side yet. It's just that we like to feel good about ourselves, so when there's positive press about us, we throw it in the limelight here and act like it's the sole truth. When somebody trashes us, we go in a frenzy.

It's pathetic, but that's what happens when we haven't been relevant for years. When we just get a sliver of relevance, the fanbase tries to hold on to it for dear life.

We're 4-3...we cleared a big hurdle and there's a light at the end of the tunnel but we haven't really done anything yet. Still a long way to go.

    • Well, he was in probably every NBA franchise's top 6 or 7. Obviously it's nice to take the swing and it work out. But when a guy refuses to work out for your team, is probably the guy refusing to play with LaMelo, has sketchy handlers, etc.? You want...to take that swing? A desperate team does, sure. Which the Hornets are. But a smart team doesn't. Which is what they will hopefully become.  Kon isn't a superstar, but his floor is Kyle Korver. Is that what you want in the 4th pick? Not really, but he's your 4th guy on a good team and what I think Charles Lee wants in a player.  Trade down would've been nice, but for who? Tre Johnson would've been my guy, but he's gone if we trade with Brooklyn. If Washington wanted Ace, I doubt it would've taken much to come get him. Trade down and get Maluach (knowing you're trading Mark) would make sense and may have been the play, but I think Kon helps the team on the court and changing a culture. Not so sure about some of the guys in the 8-12 range.
    • He's already said he's ok with them taking him and ready to get to work
    • That’s the Hornets problem in a nut shell. Can’t get the #1 pick EVER when a generational talent is in the draft then when they go the safe pick route it still doesn’t work out. Forget about drafting a raw developmental player because they have no history of being able to do that either.
