So, according to PFF Kuechly is struggling

teams are attacking him different....

they are going out of there way to get a body on him.  That means someone else has to make up for it

yes

And anytime you are the QB for a defense playing this well you aren't struggling per se - but I have seen him miss some plays I would expect him to make. Gonzo's TD comes to mind. Not surprised he has a poor PFF grade.

Seems to me we are using Kuechly more in coverage than last year.  Given the line is more stout, we can afford to play him back rather than right on the line like last year when our interior was so porous.  Hence the reduced tackles.

we also have been up a lot recently on opponents.

teams don't get be play balanced football all game

If your defense is on the field continually, is it not normal for guys to rack up more tackles?

Conversely, this year, our offense is on the field like 10 minutes longer than the D.  Would that cut down on tackles for Keek?

Bottom line, how many points per game are we giving up?

The reason for his rent poor grades has been his run defence more than his pass coverage.

He is still a fantastic player but recently teams have been able to get blockers on him and he has shot the wrong gaps. He has made big plays, but a lot of mistakes. But that's just life, he has already proven he belongs in the top tier and he will be back there once he adapts to how other teams are playing him.

^^^Pretty much this. He just has to adjust...The Rams seemed to had made the blueprint on how to handle him
