What is the reason for the offense ALWAYS starting out slow?

Dolphins game could be argued as just as important of a statement game as 9ers or Pats.

Previous 2 stated they can compete with good teams. Dolphins stated they have the mental toughness to take the fatigue from the last 2 weeks and the short week and still come back to win against a decent team.

We've gone 3 and out on the first drive MANY times, you would think Shula would take a different approach.

You mean to tell me you have never noticed that almost all defenses, even more so at a professional level, are pumped and and play their freshest and best downs on the first series?

MIGHTY bad if a defense lets an offense march down the field right away.

I think its very possible that this is directly related to how they win close games as well. Its like theyre sizing up the prey before the kill. They stab away here and there with different attacks testing what hurts them the most, then boom! It has to be Shula, must be his style. Remember, during the game they are constantly all communicating and making changes based on what both the coaches and players see. Our offense is pretty flexible in that way and Im pretty impressed at how shapeless it can be.

Be "like water" right?

Let's see, what can I complain about during a 7 game winning stretch...

About to hit that point of the year where you wanna start fine tuning this stuff. This team still has some work to do and some room to improve. Good thing, too.

wasn't there a time not too long ago the offense would start off fast and fizzle out in the end...and people complained because the defense couldn't hold on to win the game?

now the defense plays strong right out of box while the offense builds steam and finishes strong...and the panthers are winning.

i like the way it's playing out now vs. then.
