Tailgating Forbidden at Super Bowl

Correct me if I'm wrong, the issue here is that it's shared parking with some mall or something right?

If they allow TGs on regular season games, why the diff with the Super Bowl?

Instead of a single networks trucks and support teams there will be 20 or more who will need additional parking lot space.

There will be space designated to those accursed corporate sponsors

Additional parking lot space designated for supply trailers and refrigerated units for concessions

Twice as much support staff and security

And that's just off the top of my head. There simply wont be the abundance of parking and what is there will need to be largely clear and highly coordinated.

You dont just host this kind of event with the standard accommodations for support and logistics.

This.

Plus there are tents and security barricades outside by the stadium.  It takes quite a bit of time to get into the game because of the heightened security.  This means there are also longer lines of people.  Took over an hour to get into Ford Field.  I thought I was going to freeze to death and sober up before I finally got in there.

this is kind of a bigger deal than any other game and requirez a while lot more equipment than any other game and also presents a whole lot more security concerns and a whole lot more potential traffic issues to the area. the fact that there is no tailgaiting and wierd requirements for arriving and departing from the game shouldn't be a shock.

it's got nothing to do with the no fun league and everything to do with logistics and safety.

but go ahead and rage.

I swear, most of you guys get up in the morning and scour the internet to find something to bitch about....even when it won't impact you at all.

Why do you care whether you can tailgate at a game that none of you are going to?

"Why do you care what happens to the Jews, you're not Jewish" Madhatter, 1939.

People are pissed because this is just another money grab by a group of billionaires, coupled with the restriction of rights made acceptable after a certain day in September, 2001. The fact that everybody isn't outraged is almost as deplorable as these new regulations.

OK so this is probably one of the most inappropriate attempts at making an extreme comparison for something inconsequential and benign like no tailgating at the superbowl

embarrassing really!

guess the good thing is that the league has priced these tickets beyond the reach of most average football fans and the corporate fugs wouldn't know a tailgate if it slammed them in the face, so no big loss to anyone. No tailgate means more limo parking.

Not like you'll be going anyway. Hope we get the 6 seed so we can travel to Seattle first.
