Rivera says he's sticking with Chandler

I don't think we want Chandler at RT... I bet a DE would blow by him in a heartbeat.

which wouldn't be any different than if Bell played there.

offensive tackle was his position he's been practicing and playing (preseason, and rated perfect), until the Panthers were forced to play him at guard.

The Panthers probably won't move him unless there is injury to bell.

And? I never said he wasn't devoid of criticism did I?

Perhaps not, but you were "loling" at those "turning" on Rivera after 1 loss.

To me, that implied that you found the criticism unfair. And perhaps some or all of it is. It's also possible that some of it is justified. My point is we may criticize a few decisions here and there, but that doesn't constitute "turning on Rivera".

Chandler has only been a guard a short while.  He still has to ask Kalil who's he supposed to block most of time time.  And you want to move him to RT?

Are ya'll nuts?

He may have better physical tools than Bell but that doesn't mean snot if you don't know what you're supposed to doing.  Bell is sadly the best option we have at the present time.  Hopefully, RT is the linemen we need to upgrade the most (assuming Gross comes back).

With Chandler, Wharton, Ameni, and Kugbila I think we're OK at Guard.  Maybe keep Wharton at LG and move Ameni over.  He was coming into his own nicely before he got hurt.

Gross - Wharton - Kalil - Ameni - ????

Bell - Scott - and that one huddler that's trying out can be backups.

For what it's worth, Chandler got his first green PFF grade as a starter vs. the Saints, positive in both pass and run blocking.

I also find it hilarious that we, message board fans, can matter-of-factly state that our coaches lack player evaluation skills when we're judging the results based off of a 3 hour game and our extremely limited concepts of responsibilities within the schemes.

I have never even coached even pee wee football......but I can tell you Jimmy Clausen sucks as a NFL QB and Tom Brady is great. Extremes are easy.

Bell's pass protection is an extreme. Gettlemen won't have him here next year. He is here now bc Gettlemen didn't touch this O with Ron having such questionable status

I never said Bell was great. But criticizing the coach's player evaluation skills because he is still playing Bell assumes there is someone better on the roster, which is Gettleman's responsibility.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
